The Tennessean publishes community newspapers in each of the core counties within Metropolitan Nashville area. These publications specialize in each area’s news, events and people. Counties include:

Davidson County

Davidson A.M. & Neighborhood Sections

Davidson A.M. delivers Davidson County news inside The Tennessean in four core advertising zones:

  • North, Southeast and East on Wednesdays
  • West on Fridays

On Wednesday, the west zone is divided into four neighborhood zones: Bellevue, Green Hills, West End/Vandy/East Nashville and Belle Meade.

All Wednesday publications are delivered to both subscribers and non-subscribers per zone or neighborhood zone.

Williamson County

Williamson A.M. & Williamson Neighborhood Sections

Published for over a dozen years, Williamson A.M. is a must-read section for Williamson County residents. It supplements The Tennessean with county specific news, with particular focus on education, growth and development. The Williamson A.M. publishes every day except Wednesday and Saturday. Plus, it also features an extensive Sunday section and a Real Estate section on Friday.

On Wednesdays, we further zone our Williamson coverage with neighborhood sections including:

  • Franklin Review Appeal
  • Brentwood Journal
  • The Journal of Spring Hill and Thompson’s Station

The Fairview Observer is Fairview’s premiere source of local news on government, education, business, sports and more. 1,300 copies circulate every Tuesday to paid subscribers and via single copy outlets in Fairview and Lyles.

Plus 3,500 free copies of The Fairview Shopper,
non-subscriber companion, are delivered every Tuesday to households in Fairview.

Sumner A.M.

Sumner A.M. provides local news for Sumner County, covering area schools, high school sports, businesses, growth & development and more. It publishes every Sunday and is distributed inside all Sumner County copies of The Tennessean.

Hendersonville Star News

The Star News is Hendersonville’s local newspaper, covering community news and adding news from around the county. It is delivered free to almost all homes in Hendersonville on both Wednesday and Friday.

The News Examiner

Publishing since 1840, it covers Gallatin, White House, Portland and the county north of Hendersonville with news on local people, places, events, schools and businesses. It is delivered to paid subscribers and via single copy outlets every Wednesday and Friday.

Sumner County Shopper

Non-subscribers in upper Sumner County receive the Sumner County Shopper on Wednesday, which includes news coverage from The News Examiner.
